Total Knee
Replacement

A Physical Therapist's Complete Guide: Deciding, Preparing, and Recovering Week by Week

Most knee-replacement guides are written by surgeons, who hand the recovery off to "your physical therapist" and end the chapter. This one is written by the physical therapist. The surgery rebuilds the joint. The rehab rebuilds you.

Total Knee Replacement: A Physical Therapist's Complete Guide, by Nicolas Marchant

The part you
actually live through

Facing a knee replacement? Then you have probably already discovered the problem: everyone has advice, and half of it contradicts the other half.

The surgery itself is one day. The recovery is the months that follow: the pain, the swelling, the sleepless nights, and the slow return of strength. That is where this guide lives. It is written by a physiotherapist, drawing on the day-to-day clinical work of walking patients through exactly that stretch, so you get a clear, week-by-week plan for the part you are actually going to spend the most time in.

"The surgery rebuilds the joint. The rehab rebuilds you."
