How we handle your information

Last updated: October 31, 2026

This page explains what information Marchant Health Inc. ("we") collects through marchanthealth.ca, why, and the choices you have. We are based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, and we follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act.

This page covers this website only. If you are a patient of one of our clinics, your health records are handled separately under our clinical privacy obligations and are never collected through this website.

What we collect

What you send us. If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the option you choose, and your message. The form is hosted by our web host, Netlify. Please do not include health details in the form; if you need care, contact a clinic directly.

Free toolkit sign-ups. If you ask for one of our free printable toolkits, we receive your email address, which toolkit you chose (knee, hip or back) and which of our ads or pages you came from. Because the toolkit you choose can suggest a health topic, we use it only to send you that kind of information. We use your email address to send you occasional recovery emails from Nicolas Marchant, Registered Physiotherapist. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing us. These emails are sent through MailerLite, an email service provider that stores your email address and toolkit choice on our behalf and may process them outside Canada. The form is hosted by Netlify.

Session requests. If you request a private virtual session, we receive the details you enter in that form so Nicolas can reply and arrange it. The form is hosted by Netlify.

Technical information. Like any website, our host processes standard technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Meta Pixel, only if you accept. When you first visit, a banner asks whether we may use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram). It does not run unless you click Accept. If you accept, it sends Meta the pages you visit on this site, when you sign up for a free toolkit (the fact of the sign-up only, never your email address) and when you click through to our free community, along with your IP address, browser details and a cookie or device identifier. Because this is a health website, a visit to one of our pages can suggest an interest in a health topic, which is why we ask first. We use this to measure whether our ads work and to show our ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have visited this site. We never send Meta anything you type into our forms. Meta handles the data it receives under its own privacy policy.

Fonts and videos. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address so it can deliver them. Embedded videos load from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, which means YouTube does not set cookies until you play a video. Once you play one, YouTube may set cookies and collect information about your viewing under Google's privacy policy.

Links to other services

Our pages link to services we do not run: our free community on Skool, our books on Amazon, and our videos on YouTube. When you join the community, buy a book or watch a video there, that service collects and handles your information under its own privacy policy.

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information.

Where it is stored

Netlify (our web host), Meta (the pixel, if you accept it) and Google (fonts and videos) are based in the United States. Information they process may be stored or handled outside Canada and may be accessible under the laws of the countries where it is held. Visitors from outside British Columbia may also have rights under federal privacy law (PIPEDA) or the law where they live.

Your choices

How long we keep it

We keep messages sent through the contact form as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and then delete them. We keep toolkit sign-ups until you unsubscribe, and then delete your email address from our list.
